Nodachi website update coming soon! |
||
| April 23, 2012 | Posted by Haydon |
You've been waiting patiently for so very many years. Well, your wait is almost over. Due to the diligent efforts of InfoLords Cyph & Taipan, Nodachi will have a brand new look and feel in the not-so-distant future.
And we're not talking about a Microsoft or MekTek "soon", we mean "soon" as in we're only days or weeks away! I don't want to reveal too much, but if you don't like change, you're not going to like the new site. ;) |

House Jurai is gearing up for war!
MechWarrior Online, to be specific.
If you are looking for us, this outdated website will not do you much good. We are working on a totally new site, but it will probably take some time to bring it online. We are still on IRC. The channel has gotten pretty active in the last week. irc.netbattletech.com #HJ If you do not have an IRC client, here is a browser-based IRC that goes directly to our channel: http://cbe001.chat.mibbit.com/?channel=%23HJ&server=irc.netbattletech.com We also have a Facebook group named "House Jurai", for all current and retired members of HJ, primarily for socialization. To get in, request to join the group on Facebook, and then either hop on IRC and let us know, or send email to: facebook at nodachi dot net We will need to know your Facebook Name & HJ Callsign. If you're not an HJ but want to contact us, email the address above, or hop on our IRC channel. -- Tai-shu Haydon "Don de Hay" Jurai |
An End to an Era, NBT-Hard Core |
||
| November 9, 2010 | Posted by |
Greetings and Salutations to All Tribesmen and Juraians; This is an open message to all who have support, fought, and enjoyed the NBT league over the last six years, through the MW4 and Merc versions to the Hard Core mod. Congratulations to those who fought those years and more so to those who stuck with the league to the end last week. The names are numerous and the honors many, most handed out and some not, nevertheless to all those who played fond memories were formed and friendships were made even with those we faced on and off the battlefields, and if not friendships, at least earned respect. You all did a great job and it was a high honor to have played, fought, and chatted with you. Should this game and its genera die out, we did many things that most units with far greater resources and members only wished they had done, living true to our natures and learning to respect our differences as that which both makes us stronger and unique. Pat yourselves and each other on the back as you belly up to the bar and know there are few who equal you, honorable warriors, knights, and samurai of both teams. You did not let your standards waiver no matter hard the battle or how difficult the challenge, nor how questionable the other side may have been. I, warrior, samurai, scholar, leader, follower, slave to no man but my Lord and Savior, humbly and lowly bow to you for your services and friendship, Sincerely, Tokomi Arizona Tai-shu External Commander, House Jurai Minnesota Tribe Reserve |
NBT HC - An End to an Era |
||
| November 6, 2010 | Posted by |
NBT-HC has officially ended as of November 2, 2010, when the automation was backed-up for one last time for the transition from Hard Core to MekTek MP3.1. A new league name and site up will be forth coming for NBT. In the meantime, there will be a PLT (team tournament) starting around the middle of November 2010. Also, I will be requesting that HJ be known as HJ in the next league. It will be refreshing to get back our good (hic) name. |
NBT HC Moving To NBT MP3.1 |
||
| August 14, 2010 | Posted by |
This is a heads up that on September 1, 2010, Hard Core will no longer be using the Hard Core mode. The league is switching over to MP3.1.0027 with a player-team tourny to get people use to the MP3.1. This is a call to all Juarians who still want to play MW4 in the MP mode to come back online. Yes, until our numbers bet back up to at least seven on a drop night we will be backing MT in the league. Even then I expect us to keep helping MT if both teams are assigned to joint operate a larger area of the NBT map. |
Hard Core Moving to MekTek MP3.1x |

| June 9, 2010 | Posted by |
Ok, guys, if you are still looking at the news, sometime this next fall HC will move away from their mod to MP 3.1x which more of you liked. Time to get a roll call of HJ's who will be willing to come back and fight in a post Dark Age BT universe. |
Now with flavor crystals! |

We're back! OK, well, *we* never went anywhere, but our website did. Nodachi.net is now back online, thanks to Cyph, Arizona, Haydon, and Misato. Uber-thanks to Cyph, btw, because he's done the most by providing free hosting. w00t! Hey Juraians, catch up with us on Facebook! We've got a group there now. Since I'm putting out this rather public announcement, be sure in your join request that you let us know who you are (HJ name) so we aren't just adding random people. :) First task ahead is to correct any problems with the site, then we'll start overhauling some of the outdated content. Eventually I suspect we'll look at redesigning some stuff, but for now, we'll stick with the old design, even if its just for nostalgia's sake. With very few exceptions, as far as I'm concerned, all old HJs are welcome, so keep in touch, and join us on Facebook. Note: we're still on IRC! Dynamix took their IRC servers down a long time ago, so we migrated over to NBT's server: irc.netbattletech.com #hj P.S. - If you noticed "the change", it was Misato's call, so don't blame the rest of us. That said, I support the call, because I always disliked it. |

Happy Brithay HJ and State of HJ Address |

Greetings Fellow Juraians. The songs have been song, the time has past, House Jurai has turned eleven years old as of this Christmas Eve! As we enter into our twelve year of operations and I turn open a new, unmarked set of calendars, House Jurai has to take stack of where we are at. I still here about our followings in the games of Battle Field, World of Warcraft, and Guild Wars, but no HJ has stepped forward to provide us with any webpages to keep herald the House?s and members accomplishments in those games. We are still active in the MechWarrior NetBattleTech-(NBT) Hardcore (HC) League, but not enough for the House to field a complete drop list. It is such that a merc unit has been on hire for the last few months to do our drops with those Juraians who can show up on the weekends to do battle. Life has marched on and our prime game has aged. Is there going to be another MW game in the future for us to dominant? I do not know. I have only heard that people are working on those other games but there is much more talk than action over the last two years. The current two versions of MechWarrior have been stalled at present with MekTek?s version having no real leagues and NBT?s HC version stalled at its current level. Same people have complained about HC being a range game, but the current state with the players has evolved the game into a good mix of brawl/close action and range depending on the maps. More brawling maps have been popping up in the HC rotation and teams are mixing up their tactics to throw the other off their game. Currently, HC has become a game using long range support mechs to cover the close in mechs. What mechs you ounce thought were not any good have been rounded out more by the league or are not used in game battles and out of our inventory. HJ has bought more clan mechs (from our allies) and we have gotten a few special booster packs. To date we have not been able to complete any of the NBT-HC league goals set for our team, even with mercs. I am not happy with that, but that is the way of things. I am happy that many of our members have found our move over to NBT?s mIRC server after losing our long term home on Dynamic when that server was shutdown. Several members have even asked about where we are in NBT. I hope that in the near future most people will brush off their MW disks, or buy replacements (they are on EBay for under $10 US) and rejoin us for battle. HC has unlocked the clans paks for all and you don?t need to have those installed for HC. I also hope that members in our other games will start to write up webpages for those games so we all can be proud of what we are doing no matter what game. Last, our server Nodachi is moving, to where we currently don?t know. Nor do we know the when outside of the next week. Several of us are looking into this and we hope to have this problem solved in just a bit. Thank you BurningOne for your long service to the House and supporting Nodachi at her current location for so long. You are credit to the House and your Family. Lets go out there follow Juraians and make this a great year for us. Tai-shu Tokomi Arizona |
In Memorium - [HJ]-Archangel |
||
| October 9, 2007 | Posted by Maxtac |
It is with a heavy heart that I write this news post. [HJ]-Archangel, also known as Ian, long time friend of DarkViper Heng and Darmys Asagiri, died instantly in a car accident on Sunday night, 7th October, in Western Australia. I had met Ian a few times personally, and considered him a decent chap. He'd had a rough trot, but in recent years had been turning his life around, improving his job prospects and his interpersonal relationships. It is such a shame that as things were looking up for him, they came to an abrupt end. He will be missed. |

In a case of all good things and all that, Dynamix has folded up their IRC service for Tribes, signalling the end of House Jurai?s 8 year presence on irc.dynamix.com. All other settings being equal, you can now find #HJ lounging in its new space on irc.Netbattletech.com 6667. See you there! |
Mechwarrior Mod for Crysis? But that game isn't even out yet! |

| September 2, 2007 | Posted by Maxtac |
Maybe so, but the guys over at Mechwarrior Living Legends are hard at work bringing our favourite battlemechs back to the PC for DX10! Expected to take some time yet, we can still hold out hope that this mod will take shape, get finished and kick some arse in 2008/2009. Mechs and DX10, what a blast that?ll be! I for one will be lining up for the beta. |

New Juraian Battleships Launched |
||
| August 11, 2007 | Posted by Arizona |
Start Report Tortuga Prime ? NBT-Hard Core Jurai News Network At an undisclosed location today, Tentei-Taiso Lynxcat Jurai and Tai-shu Misato Jurai chastened two new Jurai Naval ships. The JNS Maxtac and JNS Arizona, both of the Riper Battle Class. Misato Jurai commented that it was high time both Tai-shus got their own named ships for their long service to the House. When asked for his comments Lynxcat Jurai stated there was enough talk, it was party time as he headed off to show-off is renowned DJ skills. Both ships are scheduled for immediate deployments after final shipyard fittings. End Report. [Game note, in keeping with HJ MW-NBT history for naming HJ ships; the Maxtac is a monolith class jumpship (heavy), while the Arizona is an invader class jumpship (medium). All HJ heavy class game ships are named after members of the royal family, medium class game ships can be named after senior officers, but usually are named after the house families. |
House Jurai's 10th Birthday! |
||
| December 24, 2006 | Posted by Arizona |
It is that time of year follow Juraians. Time to think what song you will sing as the hour of midnight at your location comes this Christmas Eve. Midnight Pacific Standard Time, ten years ago, House Jurai was born. Tomorrow we enter our eleventh year of operations! While most of House has turned away from Mech Warrior, we still have a strong following in the games of Battle Field, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars, and several other on-line games. While this site is mainly geared towards Mech Warrior, I am hoping our leaders in the other games will be forming up sections for each of the games the House is supporting. Merry Christmas and Happy House Jurai Birthday and Merry to all. Tai-shu Tokomi Arizona |

NBT HC - VnR Vacation and Up-Date |
||
| March 19, 2006 | Posted by Arizona |
Greetings, Starting March 19, 2006, and going to April 5, 2006, for VnR, and April 11, 2006 for NBT-HC, HJ is going to do a little vacation in Mech Warrior. Taipan is out until April 5th. Arizona will be out from March 30th to April 11th. All other games are to continue with your current leadership. VnR Up-date. Taipan has lead us to a very good round of VnR Stock. Better than 75% win ratio. VnR is a sole stock mech league based on the MetTek updates of the MW4 game engine. NBT-Hard Core (HC) Up-date. We have just finished a run on Out Worlds Alliance (OA) and Taurian Concordat (TC). Our win ratio against OA has been between 66% and 75%, against TC (the better team) between 35% and 60%. Of coarse that depends on the weekend and who each team pulls in to help. Kell Hounds, and MH help out TC and OA got a boost with CF, TC, and IHx (as temp fillings). We have been using MT as our allies in the last few months. HC has just added enough league stock mechs to boost their stock variants to 339. This is beyond the game stock mechs in the HC or MetTek. HC is the NBT based variant of the MW4 game engine and uses Classic Battle Tech mechs. General pitch. New maps are being added to both variants of the game engine, a lot more maps. If you have not played either game in at least three months, check them out. HC also has a Bata testing program for new mechs and new weapons. Elementals are now in the game, but yet to be added to the games. NBT is working on a Classical version of the game that will incorporate tanks! Go to the NBT page to find the line to this new start up! |
NBT-HC Orders |
||
| July 5, 2005 | Posted by Arizona |
Late this day two orders want out from HJ Navel HQ.
The first, to load up the mechs. The second, move out loaded jumpships to the IS. Raid, plunder, and just have fun! In other news, the HJ bar bill has reached an all time high which must be paid by putting the hurt on others. See above. First target is FS. Be nice now boys and girls. |
NBT-Hard Core Starts |
||
| July 5, 2005 | Posted by Arizona |
As of late last night NBT started the new Mercs Hard Core version of the league. HJ has taken the Classic BattleTech slot of Tortuga Dominions. This was done so that HJ could get a better position within a league using the CBT concept. More mechs, more ships, more worlds, more trouble. Stay tune boys and girls. |

Arcadia II C Lost, Operation Urial |
||
| August 6, 2004 | Posted by Arizona |
While HJ cut losses and retreated before a well-prepared team, CIH, we burnt the earth behind us and salvaged what we could. HJ held up to three attacks from the clan and only retreated to CIH (note that CSR was in the attack but did not drop once) because of their better preparation. HJ held to the pirate roll, we held out for almost a year there, took our profit, and left with the loot. CIH only got 286.5 million c-bills in salvage, seven mechs repaired, and a cost to repair industry of over 2 billion c-bills, about seven times more than what they got in salvage. It cost them dearly to hold to their clanner RP, but we held to our pirate RP and burned them in the end. Congratulations to all in this and to the authors of the pull out plan, Haydon Jurai and Arizona Tokomi. HJ came. HJ took. HJ held against three clan attacks. HJ partied hardy. And, when it was time to go, we left the mess to someone else to clean up while taking the loot with us. Time to go hunting and parting in other, fresher parts. |
A Spy in the Soup |

| June 8, 2004 | Posted by Arizona |
Arcadia II, Sector ?C? House Jurai Occupation Zone He looks left and right. No one is in sight. The package was dropped off at the dead drop two weeks ago. The meeting marker did not say what it was, it never does. All the white strip of cloth hanging from that second means is that there is something a the dead drop to be picked up and passed on along the chain of spies. A nondescript man, wearing nondescript clothing, minding his nondescript business. Not even his handler remembers who he is. Just another spy on another world working for another origination, that is all he is. He does not even know who he works for, just that he gets paid in clan c-bills once every few months from one of the many merchants who wonder this way. A second and a third careful and casual look as he approaches the dead drop. As he walks by he makes a small stumble, just enough so that his hand can quickly move behind the loose brick in the wall. There is something there, it feels like a small metal coin, must be another concealed data recorder holder, no problem, he will spend it like other coins at his next hand off, he thinks to himself. It feels like a ten c-bill coin, not bad, he could use the extra cash and places it with the rest of his change as he walks away. As our walker moves on a distant observer picks up his com unit and places a short coded message to another person who relays it back to the office. Before the coin can make it to its next stop and then off world the Juraian ISS will be informed that the information they wanted out has been moved along. The counterspy thinks to himself, it is a good game of cat and mouse the Juraian ISS plays with both the Word of Blake and ComStar spies. Too bad those guys really ever take the same information as seriously through formal channels as they do when they get it from their spy networks. Well, it is fun doing field work and keeping an eye on the local spies. Three weeks later the information is in the hands of both the Word of Blake and the ComStar Commanders. It is a single page document with the Juraian High Command title head and only one signature with a family crest and seal. To their majesties, Tai-shu Haydon Jurai Tai-shu Maxtac Jurai Here is the summery report promised to you after the fourth battle of Arcadia IIC. The clans have fought with honor, and have been forced back with honor on all sides. Summary of our current situation and clan losses.
Total Salvage: 6,567,729,000 c-bills
We have a company of extra mechs in mothball, ready to go. We are at full garrison with full reinforcements on hand. Juraian Security Forces announced today that the last of our military forces who took extended and unapproved leave during and after the Annual Juraian Spring Festivities have been rounded up and sent back to their units. This year the AWOL rate was a bit higher than normal and a bit more on the edge as this confiscated and contraband picture shows. ![]() This picture is from outside of the Arcadia IIC Hotel and Tavern, and is considered one of the few that can be shown in public. VnR (UTS)-HJ Crimond, Defense vs CHH |
||
| May 7, 2004 | Posted by Arizona |
Today our valiant troops, shot staffed and short handed, took on CHH and won! Seven drops where completed. Four Juraian mechs lost. Seven battle drops won! A clean swipe of the battlefield with limited losses!
CHH was the team who kept handing HJ our asses when UTS started up. Today we returned the favor.
In drop four, Gator Bait, Tai-shu Arizona Tokomi was noted when he bring his Hunchback back with just the cockpit supported on some indosteel around his engine on two-bullet hole filled legs. It is rare to see a Tokomi try and save a mech however the Tai-shu noted he wished to go through the whole battle without losing a single mech, and he did. Even after being pinned between two Lokis and having both blow up on him.
Other pilots had just as much luck during several other drops. DarkViper Heng brought back his Raven more then once with almost no weapons left when several CHH mechs took of after him time after time to try and take him out, or stomp on him. Only his speed saved his mech.
On the next two drops, Wetlands, CHH tried to push HJ by swarming our pilots, but our guys held off their short-range mechs (mostly Artic Wolves in the first with a Hellhound and a Thor, and two Glads, one MK2 with a Puma in the second) with Thanatos and Hunchbacks lead by DarkViper?s Raven. It was a shooting gallery for our guys with a lot of MRMs flying at the Glads.
In the final battle it was HJ in the Inner City with two Atlases, two Fafnirs, Two Highlands, and a Sunder against CHH with five Gladiators, a real turkey-shoot for our guys.
All in all, it is good to see HJ back in good form.
Congratulations to:

[NBT] 13th Wolf Guard repelled again! |

House Jurai forces have successful repelled the 13th Wolf Guard Planetary Assault in the Arcadia II C system. 13th Wolf Guard jumpships were detected jumping out-system, with all remaining forces aboard. [NBT] 13th Wolf Guard escorted from House Jurai Occupation Zone on Arcadia II C |
||
| March 22, 2004 | Posted by Maxtac |
A large contingent of the Arcadia II Jurai Occupation Zone Defence Force turned out to see off the visiting 13th Wolf Guard Military Forces on the weekend. Tai-sa Asmudius Heng, the Clan Tourism Liaison Officer of the farewell party assigned to escort the 13th from the planet, had this to say about the situation. ?It really was a shame they had to leave; those zany clanners are so much fun! But seriously, they?d overstayed their Visas and there had been some talk of them wrecking their dropszone, so we had to go in and make sure they left with a minimum of further damage to Juraian citizen and governmental property. When we arrived we found the DZ looking like a warzone, I mean the place was disserted, it was like a Ghost Highway. After four discussions with the 13th about their poor manners, of which Jurai came off the better in three, the 13th were on their way out-system, minus their bond of cause. I have to say though, they do tip well; they left over 2 billion C-bills of gear for us. So all?s well that ends well.?
Despite this slight disagreement, it is suspected that tourism from the Clan sectors of the Pentagon Worlds can do naught but increase as the word gets around that The Jurai Occupation Zone of Arcadia II is a great place for a short visit by Clanners. ?I don?t think it has affected tourism adversely,? advised Asmudius as he was finishing the interview, ?why we have a likely rowdy group of Snow Ravens due in any time for a bit of snatch and grab. Gotta love those wacky clanners!? All we have to say at the JNN in reply to that last statement is? quite. More news as it happens... |
